[Trans] Sooman Lee, Sewon Seo Key Figures in Investigation on Corruption in Entertainment Industry Returned after Fleeing

(Note: for related articles that precede this one, please visit this post.)

June 10, 2003

Sooman Lee and Sewon Seo, key suspects in the investigation on corruption in the entertainment business, who brought the investigation to a standstill when they fled the country and were subsequently placed on Interpol’s Wanted List, finally returned to Korea. Thus, people expected that the case, which had been suspended for six month, would resume, but the result came to nothing. Sewon Seo had delayed a summons of the Prosecutor’s Office on grounds of poor health, and Sooman Lee, who was summoned right after his re-entry, was allowed to go back home in a day. Although the Public Prosecutor, for now, states that his office will decide whether or not to issue a warrant for Sooman Lee and Sewon Seo’s arrest after going through the enormous amount of data received and further investigation, the case seems to be closed without any further pursuit.

Why request a place on Interpol’s Wanted list if they will release suspects in a day?

On the 22nd of last month, Sooman Lee, the principal shareholder of SM Entertainment, entered Korea quite confidently surrounded by ten bodyguards after being arrested at Incheon International Airport. This quite contrasted with Sewon Seo’s entry, carried by gurney as he was trying to hide his face. Sooman Lee headed to the Seoul District Public Prosecutors’ Office after asserting his innocence. One day after the entry of Sooman Lee, the serious crime squad of the Seoul District Public Prosecutor’s Office (HongIl Kim, chief prosecutor) announced that for now they would send Sooman Lee home, and then will decide whether or not to issue an arrest warrant for Sooman Lee after conducting further investigation. The Public Prosecutor’s explanation for sending Sooman Lee home was that, because SM’s lawyer has completely denied the suspicion of Sooman Lee by providing enormous amount of data, such as receipts, the Prosecution had to do more corroborative investigation. The public cannot understand how Sooman Lee could be sent home in a day after being wanted by Interpol while he had long been escaped in the US. The investigation of the entertainment business’s corruption that heated up the public last year solves nothing and just leaves people with many suspicions. In the beginning, the investigation confidently planned to go through the whole entertainment business’s corruption, embezzlement, stock price manipulation, an influx of funds from organized criminal gangs, an illegal capital for public relations, and sexual bribes. However, the outcome is inadequate. While the Prosecutor’s Office went through the humiliation of having the chief prosecutor replaced in the middle of the investigation, they stated that if Sooman Lee and Sewon Seo would return to Korea, the Prosecutor’s Office can achieve tangible results. In August of last year, the Prosecution dismissed an indictment of Sooman Lee, and this year, 14th January, Lee was placed on Interpol’s Wanted list and the Prosecution revealed the strong will to investigate this case. However, Sooman Lee’s returning to Korea ended up with just a day of investigation.

Many suspicions so far, and Sooman Lee’s insistence

At the time of last year’s investigation, the charges against Lee are listed below.
First of all, he was suspected of profit-taking in KOSDAQ by adopting an expedient. By this expedient, the prosecution assumed that Lee pulled in approximately $13,000,000 by stock of SM entertainment. In addition to Sooman Lee’s suspicion of earning ten million of margin profit from the merger with 4M Entertainment’s training agency which costs $50,000, Lee was also under suspicion of taking $3,000,000 of cash income by selling stock of KOSDAQ in May of last year.
However, the prosecution had been more focused on the investigation on the embezzlement which occurred in the company. Especially, in August of 1999, the Public Prosecutor stated that Lee had embezzled $1,100,000 in the form of foreign payment of capital which was embezzled in the process to increase capital. The Prosecution said they were investigating the use of the $1,100,000.
The problem is that while Lee stayed abroad, Kyeongwook Kim, an executive of SM entertainment, was indicted for those crimes in Lee’s stead, but he was acquitted to part of those crimes. Thus, the indictment on Lee could only become more complicated.
Last year, the investigation on entertainment corruption was launched based on allegations of “PR fees”(T/N: Euphemism for bribes, including those of a sexual nature). The whole investigation was started by one NGO group, Solidarity Groups for the Reform of Popular Music (i.e. DKR), which reported the practice of entertainment companies exchanging “PR fees”. After that report, the Prosecutor’s Office said that they would investigate the PR fees related to SM entertainment. However, as the investigation proceeded, the issue of PR fees gradually disappeared, and the Prosecution did not even mention PR fees when they recently summoned Lee.
Last year, during the investigation, our newspaper revealed a list of SM Entertainment’s stockholders. In the list, financial firm _____’s Lee chairman had 6,000 shares, Pastor Choi had 40,200 shares, and other entertainers and representatives of broadcast stations were also on the list. For this reason, based on the stockholders’ list, Prosecutors suspected high instances of bribery in the form of PR fees between the entertainment world and the political world.

The investigation related PR fees make a slow progress

The most unsatisfying part about this investigation from the point of view of the entertainment industry is the loss of focus on PR fees. This bribery issue was the most important part in last year’s investigation, and everyone had expected that this investigation of the entertainment industry could be a turning point for reforming the practice of PR fees which had been the reasonable custom so far. However, the prosecution actually failed to disclose the true nature of this bribery. Therefore, when Sooman Lee, and Sewon Seo, who were the key suspects of the investigation, returned to Korea, people expected the Prosecutor’s Office to proceed into the inquiry on PR fees. However, the actual prosecution’s investigation focused on the manipulation of stock or embezzlement. These parts could be the tangible accomplishments for the Prosecutor’s Office, but these would not help the basic structural reform of the entertainment business world. Cultural Action and DKR, the non-government organizations which did demonstration against Sooman Lee, insisted that “the Prosecution’s investigation is essential to construct a transparent structure for the entertainment industry”. The organizations also asserted that “we express our concern over the slow progress of the investigation that had been proceeding since last year.” Especially about the part on PR fees, the Chairman of DKR stated that “the slow process of the investigation is a shame. It appears that the investigators did not even consider our report” (related reference in his interview)
Lee has denied all suspicions put on him. He explained about the embezzlement in the company that “I embezzle nothing. I already submitted related data to the prosecution last week. He also asserted his innocence of price-taking by selling stock saying that “How can I make the profit even when I did not sell the stock? There was no advantage of selling stock because the stock price had dropped at the time.” Seong Il Baek, a lawyer of Sooman Lee, already passed an enormous amount of data to the Prosecution, and he still keeps providing additional data.

Continue to suspect Lee’s capability to be well informed

In the contrast to the prosecution’s attitude near the start of the investigation, they sent Sooman Lee home in one day as Lee submitted related data.
Therefore, the prosecution is being denounced by the public for their incapability to make a clear and obvious result of the investigation. As a result, the prosecution suddenly became the target of denouncement for making an abrupt decision before they made an agenda; the abrupt decisions such as dismissal of the indictment, requesting the assistance of Interpol, and nullifying Lee’s passport. Besides, between reporters, who cover the process of questioning Sooman Lee, there were already some suspicions that the Public Prosecutor was going to finish the case without any results. The Prosecution’s will to investigate further seemed weak. In this whole process, there is some suspicion about Lee’s personal connections and his capability of gathering information. Because Lee went to Kyung Bok high school and Seoul National University where many graduates are now influential legal/judicial circles now, people are speculating that Lee received information secretly from his alumnus right before leaving Korea. People also assume that there could be some pressure from Lee’s alumnus to finish the investigation on Lee in just one day.
About this, Dong Yeon Lee, a chairman of DKR, said that “a plea written by Lee’s alumnus appears to have been quite effective.”
There are three possibilities in the entertainment world now. First, the investigation itself was lacking in substance. Second, the Prosecutor’s Office was inadequate to dig up the truth. Third, there could be external pressure from third parties to help Sooman Lee out of the investigation.
So far, this investigation summoned the largest number of related persons and proceeded in the widest scope. However, the investigation lasted for one year seems ineffective to reform the wrong custom such as PR fees in the entertainment world.

  1. Wow,since 2003 LSM already rules S.Kor laws. Our boys are brave to stand up for their right and fight.Feel very proud for JYJ

  2. I wonder if 5 DBSK members knew this before having contract with SM??? Nonetheless, it was 2003..they already became the trainees of that stupid company.. poor kids!

    • I’m sure they knew about it already, but remember what Chunnie said in his unnamed song? LSM presented himself as a trusted “family”. DBSK5 trusted him like a father. Our boys were still innocent at that time.

  3. Gee, it’s a wonder that KBS and all the other national broadcast outlets in SK don’t ban all of SM’s activities and participation on their shows pending an outcome of the investigation, like they have with JYJ. From the scope of these charges, it looks to me like LSM is potentially 1000 times the wrong-doer JYJ is! Put all of these charges up against “suing to get out of a contract with SM” and see what YOU think. JYJ’s supposed “crime” seems rather upstanding, in fact: they have acted on a firm desire not to be under contract to criminals. How can what the guys have done be an imminent danger to the cultural integrity of Korea when the alleged activities of LSM are not and are once again in the process of being swept under the rug? HELLO?? SK Prosecutors office?? Is anybody awake over there??

  4. This is just unbelievable. They blow a gasket over 3 guys wanting to annul their abusive contracts but they don’t say anything about SEXUAL BRIBES, EMBEZZLEMENT AND CLEAR MANIPULATION OF THE LAW BY THAT FUCKING PIG!!!!!
Are you serious Korea? What a bloody joke their legal system is.
Since 2003? And no one has the balls to present what they have against this guy because he has “connections?” And I’m positive they have dirt in high places hence the abrupt 180. Why commence these investigations if they are just going to back out last minute? He was on the freaking Interpol list and yet they have the nerve to question JYJ’s character? This makes me so tired….I just don’t even know what to say or do anymore.

    • @Mia2
“This is just unbelievable. They blow a gasket over 3 guys wanting to annul their abusive contracts but they don’t say anything about SEXUAL BRIBES, EMBEZZLEMENT AND CLEAR MANIPULATION OF THE LAW ”

Yes. You are so right. It is unbelievable. THIS is who the members of JYJ are up against. We have to remember that. This is why we can never stop, we can never rest until they are OUT of that contract and the lawsuit is over! So don’t give up. Try to look at all the really significant progress we’ve made especially lately in getting the true story of who JYJ are and what has been happening to them out to the mass-media and to the world at large.

I don’t know what is going to happen with Lee Soo Man. I’m less interested in that right now than just making sure that JYJ gets AWAY cleanly from that pack of criminals and thieves, SME.

      • You are absolutely right. They are our first priority. The rest can keep being delusional. If they can live with being in a system where they are compared to “dispensable cellphones,” run the risk of being used in sexual bribes with 70+ year old men AND release crappy generic music following a standard-quickly-getting-old formula then let them. I try to sympathize especially with those who give JYJ support but the rest can go straight to Timbuktu. Don’t care anymore.

Maybe we should have our Korean counterparts “revive” these stories about our heroic father LSM and his wonderful company all over SK major newspapers. On the internet, in public broadcast TV, at the top universities…everywhere they can think of. See if SM can’t be convinced to nicely let our boys be.

*I’m sorry for the cursing. I’m of a very volatile character when I hear grossly unfair news. Hope I didn’t offend anyone and if I did I apologize.

        JYJ fighting!!!

      • @Mia2
“*I’m sorry for the cursing. I’m of a very volatile character when I hear grossly unfair news. Hope I didn’t offend anyone and if I did I apologize.”

Oh, believe me I share your need to resort to expletives when viewing the above article. When I saw the headline of the new post from JYJFiles this morning I yelled “Yippee!” Then I read it. Talk about your big-time buzz-killers. But such is the roller-coaster ride we are on.

You said “Maybe we should have our Korean counterparts “revive” these stories about our heroic father LSM and his wonderful company all over SK major newspapers. On the internet, in public broadcast TV, at the top universities…everywhere they can think of.”

And I LOVE this idea! That is what we should be doing! We have to make it so uncomfortable for, among others, these high ranking cronies of LSM in the justice branch that they will butt OUT of this investigation. Likewise, the program directors who are obviously getting something they want out of keeping JYJ off the air. All of these corrupt people are scurrying from the light of continued investigation and exposure like cockroaches.
We have to continue to encourage them to do the right thing.

  5. He was in Interpol’s wanted list but he got out of it just like that?!While JYJ,this three guys who were just fighting for their rights were treated as if they did something horrible.tsk tsk tsk

    • Does Interpol have a listing with photos? Like a mugshot at the local precinct? We can plaster that all over SK if we must. Make people remember what a piece a trash LSM is and to get them out of this silly idea that JYJ owns something to SM.

Seriously that argument is getting so old. Like hello~ SM didn’t cast the boys out of the goodness of their hearts. The boys auditioned (except Yuchun who was approached by them first) and even so they spent years training. Then they spent more time (all their time and energy really) working for SM to become what they are now. It was never 50/50 though and I can’t understand how others still can’t see. Ignorance isn’t bliss, it is unperceived oblivion because past generations who didn’t do anything to stop this have helped create this blood-sucking behemoth that is apparently intertwined with high politics.

I wonder which of those sick bastards, who run the cities, towns, courts and organizations of Korea, have slept with idols and received other types of bribes to let these companies run around as if they own Korea.

  6. Well now, this fills in more of the blanks that were quite empty for a while. As my grandmother used to say, “you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.” I heard the dude was sleazy, but this illuminates just how sleazy.

Ok, I got that he was somewhat ‘vindicated’, but honestly South Korea how do you expect to stand tall amongst the major democracies of the world if this is the best you can do to fight corruption? I’m not saying my country is all that and a bag of chips too, but I can tell you this much, when it comes to prosecuting about stealing money, no matter how it’s done, your fanny will not be seeing the light of day for a VERY LONG time. Violent criminals make out better in the legal system, than money crooks. Prosecutors here just LOVE these kinds of cases. The perp walks have become a form of entertainment in themselves. They don’t even care if your ass is old, they will go after you! Just look at dear old Bernie!

So, South Korea you have a ways to go if you want to play with the big guys. You will let this sleaze bag strut himself like a peacock, while at the same time treat three exceptional young men who have done nothing wrong, as if they were criminals.

Three young men I might add who represent what is best about your country…teaching them family values, diligence and hardwork, giving them a fine educational system, instilling in them pride of their culture, and how to be humble in an environment not known for being humble, and last but not least, how to respect those around them. They literally shine like a beacon representing your country.

One day when this is all over, and JYJ has received their reward for all the BS you’ve put them through, take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself, is this how your country is suppose to look? After thousands of years of history, dynasties, cultural enrichment, this is what it comes down to? How sad.

    • @ButterfliesAreFree

I heartily agree. The overwhelming thing I was struck by this morning when I read the article was “LSM, under investigation for this laundry list of serious felonies since 2003 and more recently an Interpol Most Wanted pin-up boy walks scott free and JYJ, whose legal woes revolve around getting AWAY from this gangster have been encumbered and banned for the last 2 years because watching them perform a song on television may allegedly threaten the wholesomeness of the culture????” Excuse me??

  7. This fills many blanks

Throughout the lawsuit there has been many red flags raised that in my opinion required investigation from the Korean authorities but alas nothing was done and the prosecutors office are acting as though the red flags don’t exist.

SM’s refusal to hand in financial documents, the incoherent and illogical explanations they gave concerning TVXQ5’s revenue, etc. In the last hearing, SM said mirotic sold ~480,000 when evidence indicates it sold 540,000, so I’ve been wondering wth did the money from (540k-480k=60k) 60,000 albums disappear to and why did the court not investigate or interrogate SM on the whereabouts of the cash as they’re not indicated in the financial documents. Also SM said in their financial documents TVXQ contributed little to their revenue when evidence proves contrary hence the question where on earth did the money go.

I can’t understand how the prosecutors office can ignore something all those red flags. This clearly explains why no investigations are under way to explain the red flags raised in the lawsuit.

Its disgusts me that these three boys who are fighting for their rights and challenging a rotten system that desperately needs change are treated like criminals yet someone like LSM walks scot free and is treated like the messiah of the hallyu wave.

    reading this is beyond aggravating.

    • @oo
“Its disgusts me that these three boys who are fighting for their rights and challenging a rotten system that desperately needs change are treated like criminals yet someone like LSM walks scot free and is treated like the messiah of the hallyu wave. reading this is beyond aggravating.”

I’m with you. It’s outrageous. All your points are well taken. It just smacks of corruption within the court itself, doesn’t it?? WHY has SME not been compelled to produce it’s financials to the court, or face a contempt citation?? Why??

    • Unfortunately, South Korea only has about 30 years of democratic governance. Prior to this, it was military juntas in charge. So, they are practically in the infancy stage. Does this get them off the hook? No way. But it puts things in perspective. In order for a system to work well, it has to iron out the kinks. That process is going to take some time. Kind of like weeding out the dead wood.

I believe it was Eliza who said, JYJ’s generation is the first to really come to expect the law to work for them. Those of us in countries whose rule of law has been around for a while, see things differently. The deal is going to be how South Korea handles having the rest of the world looking at her as if she is not serious. Can you imagine how Interpol must have felt when this sleaze was pretty much let go after they did the work of grabbing his worthless hide? How much cooperation in the future could South Korea expect?

Having your country produce goods and services and getting a booming economy going is one thing, but when it comes to paricipating in the major international decisions, you have to have your ‘A’ game on so to speak. This is one of the reasons Japan is getting respect now in her situation. She’s paid her dues for WWII. She has followed the pathway to respectability.

South Korea should take a lesson from that….

  8. Entertainment world is DARK all along dated years, years back but kids who live in this era are well read and taught to make their stand for justice in their own rights. Can’t help but to think to this day on WHY korean justice system has not come clean with LSM’s string of doings with his ppl from the POWER LEVEL .
Finally, this day has come with LSM’s fishy deeds boiling through national news pages and members of the general public with more public awareness on SM Ent issues .
More and more ppl/chanels are digging up more old news. With JYJ and Boy Bands before JYJ who had issues with SME , JYJ is really fortunate to gain so much supports in and outside Korea. With the world watching S Korea runs their justice system , she will change for the better but don’t think that it will be soon with so many POWER LEVEL personnel involved.

  9. this site is really desperate to see SM and TVXQ suffer, but let me tell you something, you can’t put an honest, true, good and popular person down! this site never had the credibility from the start anyway, bec you only posts those things that benefits jyjs’ side! shortcuts! people are not stupid! the more you do this, the more you draw fans away!

    • Hi arirang15,

I’m honestly wondering, does the ’15’ in your name designate your age? Because your speech pattern and tone are very much compatible with that age, give or take a year or two. You use the words “credibility”, “honest”, “true” and “good” as if you don’t fully grasp their full meaning…they are simply synonyms to “popular” to you, it appears.

Also, I’m curious to know whether or not you’re Korean? Because if you are, you will know that the term ‘arirang’ is not one that is used lightly (except perhaps if you’re a Korean immigrant restaurant owner) in Korea. It is more than a folksong for us…it speaks to the national spirit of “Han”, or long-standing sorrow and suffering brought about by uncontrollable forces of injustice and heartbreak. Speaks very poetically and well to JYJ’s situation don’t you think? So, what the staff of The JYJ Files is doing is “loosening han” for JYJ as we say in Korean. And they’ve only just begun….If you’re already breaking down this much over it now, I worry for you when you lurk here in the next days and months.

Or you can always live up to your namesake and join the cause.

      • @Jimmie

Hello, Jimmie, we miss you so much! I hope you are well and enjoying your new job. Thank you so much for your comments.
We all really appreciate your point of view and your articulateness.
        Cheers!

      • @Lilibaiyu
        Hi! ^^

Yes, my new job is consuming me, but in a good way. And as difficult as it is proving to be, I still try to spare a moment or two to check up on how my old home and crew are doing. Nice to see that it’s still standing, crib and crew ^^

      • Hi Jimmie,

Yes, eventful times are afoot, although JYJ seems to be gamely dodging and weaving every further bit of dirty business SM and AVEX can throw at them, while simultaneously racking up a truly impressive series of out-and-out triumphs, honors and successes, not to mention proving themselves to be serious players as advertising spokesmen: products these 3 endorse fly off the shelves in a day. It’s been rather awesome to watch all of this unfold, with more to come, no doubt.

Well, we miss you. So please keep checking in with us as time allows.
        Have a wonderful summer.

      • @arirang15
“everybody has the right to use any user name in yt, FYI!”

That’s not what she asked, sweetie-pie, and when Jimmie asks you a question on the JYJFiles, you’d better f**kin’ straighten up and answer succinctly.

        Yep. I’m thinkin’ about 15.

      • @arirang15
And I have the right to question (and get uncharacteristically irritated at if true) whether the choice in your username communicates a careless disregard for a 4000+ year old culture and an objectification of its people for the sake of justifying a socially unapproved need for vicarious self-gratification, which if verbalised publicly would earn you the title of selfish, perverted, racist bitch/bastard…

        So…does it?

      • Wow..@arirang15 must be LSM no. 1 fan..who lurks here and try to ‘clean-up’ her idol name by using DBSK’s name..hahaha..pity..pity..pity..because people are not stupid that everyone knows LSM is No. 1 ASSHOLE in K-entertainment!!! Because people are not stupid that JYJ is getting more fans and supporters in their fight!! Duhhhhh…

    • I’m sad that you think that. We don’t post news about the projects Changmin and Yunho do, that is true, but that has nothing to do with JYJ’s plight. If you are interested in knowing their activities you can simply look them up as there are many reliable sites that can inform you about them.

We are concentrating on all the legal and ethical barriers that JYJ have to overcome. I will admit that I want SM to go down because they ARE corrupt, dirty and untrue. That has nothing to do with the talent they hire. Those artists are under SM but are well known enough that if they wanted to they could leave for another company, IF they wanted to, their choice. This has nothing to do with wanting to see TVXQ fail either.

This article for example is NOT a lie made up by the admins of The JYJ files. These are legitimate stories from the Korean press translated for our benefit. LSM was on the Interpol list. If you don’t trust us you can look it up yourself. This is the man that has represented SM (and still does). We want JYJ to succeed with no obstacles from these people who are blocking JYJ.

Do you really think good people do what Avex and SM are doing now? Do you think a good man ends up under investigation from the Prosecutor’s Office and flees Korea the way LSM did?

Also…popular? Seriously kid? That is on the same level as “honest, true and good?” If this is about popularity you can go back to high school because this is a serious breach of ethics by people who are in charge of young, unformed talent not the local cheerleading squad. Business leaders as well as those high up in the Korean government are involved.

      Good Day.

    • i totally agree with you! this site only emphasize those points where they think they can make SM and TVXQ down but there are lots and lots of fans have opened their minds bec of this, lol. they think bec of what they’re doing people will love jyj more but its the opposite instead. they’re only showing how desperate they are to draw more fans towards them. this site really is too funny lol and pitiful!

      • i agree! what about those jyjs’ tweet? the 6.25 meeting, i believe this site dont know what they’re doing! more and more cassies are learning of what the real story is and whose more at fault. actually the moment i read about their posts here that are usually shortcuts i just told myself, tsk tsk so funny lol!

      • @clumsygirl2011
“i totally agree with you! this site only emphasize those points where they think they can make SM and TVXQ down but there are lots and lots of fans have opened their minds bec of this, lol. ”

Probably then the thing for you to do is to go back to where all of those highly evolved, open-minded fans are and enjoy their company. Share your views about what’s “really going on.”
Build lifetime friendships among those who are “really aware of the truth of what’s happening.”

Maybe we can meet back up when the court’s verdicts come in. Maybe at that point the heavens will open and you and yours will finally get a clue. Maybe you really need a third-party authority figure of some kind to guide you to reality. You look at all of JYJ’s unprecedented successes, all of the big corporations lining up to get their endorsements, all of their charitable works, good will and Korean world trade ambassadorships and all you see is…. what? Whiny manipulative wanna-bes, frauds and losers??

What a coincidence. I think I can see a couple of those myself.

      • @arirang15
“i agree! what about those jyjs’ tweet? the 6.25 meeting, i believe this site dont know what they’re doing! more and more cassies are learning of what the real story is and whose more at fault.”

Wow. You’re still talking about the 6-25 meeting?? That’s kind of sad, don’t you think? Most of us here have SO moved on. All we’re waiting for now is the final verdict by the Korean courts proclaiming that JYJ is at last free of all constraints that SM has unlawfully put upon them. A big fat punitive judgement is probably headed their way too, but you know what? They most likely don’t even need it at this point. They have had such massive success in everything that they have touched in the last year or so. They’ve already made more money in the last year than in the last 8 years put together, by the draconian terms of their contracts with SM. (And now, I’m thinking, oh I hope you’re not one of those “But, it Shouldn’t Be About the Money, It Should Be About The Music!” children. Because that’s what you are if you think that young adult men work as hard as JYJ work and then don’t want to be paid for their efforts.)

Finally, I just really really HOPE that whatever your true motives are for coming to this list and attempting to ‘change minds to your point of view,’ the one thing that you DON’T have at the back of your mind is that the members of JYJ will EVER rejoin TVXQ.
It aint gonna happen, sweetheart. Sorry. And all of the ugliness that you people have managed to generate over the last 2 years has probably helped them make their decision. Good job!

      • @arirang15
Then what is the real story then huh, since you’re so sure this site doesn’t know what their doing?

I knew a lot of dirty things about sm way before TVXQ broke apart and after way before I came to this site. I have to say JYJ3 and JYJFiles are right on point. It’s stupid and blind fans like you that can’t see the big picture.

By the way we don’t put 2tvxq and sm down because there already making an a** of themselves that goes for you and your buddy @clumsygirl2011.

I guess you guys have been listening to too much of “Keep your head down”

      • @clumsygirl2011
I already loved JYJ and still do. The dedication and the will power that these boys have makes me love them even more. JYJ are not desperate sm are, by trying to block JYJ and everything that they are doing, but keeping failing in the process. That’s why sm is milking ever penny out of HoMin because there not sure how long there going to last without the other 3 and by blocking JYJ, HoMin can succeed………that’s desperate!!

I just realized….you are the same person….your avatar, when you don’t have an account and you use your email address instead…the site gives you a default avatar.

Wow….I’m so embarrassed for you. You really ARE 15!
Don’t you think you are acting like the desperate one? If you really know so many people who think the same why are you having conversations with yourself?

        You are so pitiful……

      • @MIA2
“I just realized….you are the same person….your avatar, when you don’t have an account and you use your email address instead…”

lol Oh, good heavens….. I’ve heard of “being your own best friend” but this is just kind of sad….

      • LOL, you argument with your self this is soo funny. next time use another account ok, so you will not embarased your self if you want criticize JYJ fans.

In times of crisis or hardships, people’s characters are revealed.
I have my attention on the unfair contract and the actions of Ho Min in the TVXQ/SM dispute.
Unlike you, I don’t enjoy telling bad things about others, blaming others, or hating others because I respect myself. I am very supportive of JYJ because it takes a lot of courage to stand up against an unfair contract, which the company denied to acknowledge.
We can pretend like nothing happened or choose to acknowledge the unfair treatment and do something about it.
There are good, bad, and ugly choices in life. It’s up to us to make the good ones. In life, if you make a good choice, you will have a good people around, and a good environment gives healthy air for all of humanity to grow.
I want to be a better person every day, repeat that magic spell. Eventually you will change your User name to “I love JYJ”.
You’re not helping at all with your hateful comments, bad girl.

    • even jyj wins the lawsuit, who cares?! we dont care at all bec in the first place we dont want greedy people be with TVXQ again! anyways TVXQ are doing more than great which only means they dont need anyone, anymore! i knew jyjs’ lies including the crebeau thing, they said they are just a minor stockholder but they owned 62% of the stocks, lol what a liar! 6.25 meeting which accused Changmin and Yunho as traitor and puppets, generated by whose family? its jyj! those tweets, your petitions, what!? do you think you can still make more people believe you? i used to like 5 of them but i’m not stupid to continue liking someone who are not trustworthy! i’m not here trying to change anyones ideas and beliefs, i just to say that dont put your emotion before judging for you to be able to see what are truth and lies!

      • hmmmm…arirang15 –> uganda30

        Is lack-of-creativity the new epidemic?

Given the frantic use of ?s and !s, I’d say the one getting emotional and panic-ridden is you. Why is that? Is it because you actually know deep down that logically-coherent and eloquently formulated petitions are not only effective but proven historically to incite revolutions against backward, racist or self-loathing, traitorous, unhumanitarian and/or degrading institutions?

And please learn basic maths. 62% divded by 3 does not equal “major stockholder”, kekeke.

      • @Cat95
“@uganda30 who greedy? You mean SME”

Yes, that was rather a stunning bit of ironic stupidity, wasn’t it?
The members of JYJ are “greedy” for wanting to finally start being paid for their work? I swear–as far as being exactly 180 degrees off the mark at any given moment, these girls have got SKILLZ.

      • If JYJ are considered greedy for leaving, HoMin is just as guilty for staying with SM. HoMin didn’t stay because they love SME and everyone affiliated with that “family”. They stayed for the money, sweety, and for all the other benefits that come with it (though, besides fame, I don’t know other benefits one can gain under SME xP).

      • @Vicky
“If JYJ are considered greedy for leaving, HoMin is just as guilty for staying with SM. HoMin didn’t stay because they love SME and everyone affiliated with that “family”. They stayed for the money”

Uganda30 is beyond our ability to reach her, Vicky. She says “we don’t care about the lawsuit” which, if you cared anything about the back-story of TVXQ who then split and became JYJ is pretty breath-taking in its ignorance. But she and her little pal arirang15 are more than willing to endlessly prattle on about the cosmetics company, the stockholdings, the 6-25 meeting… all of this stuff is just MEANINGLESS to get a rise out of anyone here at this point. It’s all water under the bridge. Nobody cares about it anymore. The only thing that matters is the outcome of the lawsuit. That’s when JYJ’s association with SM will be formally over with.

      • Now you are uganda30? Enough you ridiculous fool!
Stop wasting our time at the JYJfiles. You aren’t here to change minds? That is obviously your objective if you are prattling about the “truth” otherwise why bother showing up here? And since this IS a JYJ site I don’t see how we as JYJ fans don’t have a right to speak what we want.

You are the saddest person I have ever seen here.

    • Geez how pathetic you are. Go support your idol and get out of here.
Changing your username won’t change the fact that you’re the same person.
Let me tell you something, I’m a Changmin biased but because of people like you, fans like you, I just can’t stand HoMin/2VXQ anymore.
There are too many hatred in HoMin/2VXQ fandom. They can’t stand it not to say shit about JYJ. I was trying darn hard to support 5 of them but thanks so much to butthurt fans like you I can say goodbye to HoMin/2VXQ and fully support JYJ now because you know what JYJ and JYJ family is about love. We never say shit about HoMin/2VXQ unless this two soul defame JYJ’s name with their pathetic stories on television.

Lastly, I really really have to tell you this, instead of showing your stupidity, go support your idol. Buy their album, go to their shows. It will help them to add more penny in their pockets (and that’s if their agency care enough to give them cent. I’m afraid the agency will say the money they gained is gone to pay all the bills).

  11. Funny these erm~ who have come in to learn the hard way… I just remembered a post about their kind in JYJ3’s Gen Post a week ago I think… Just keep it up Jimmie… Good luck with work, and more success~!^__^

    • ohhh this is what this site really is, once truth been pointed real self will come out. at least i didn’t say any dirty words about you! lololol you’re sooo funny just like your site!!! you maybe finished your studies and have good job, you maybe smart in the sense of the word but girl you’re worst than those mal-educated people! it only shows how desperate you are. don’t worry even if you reply i wont be able to read it coz i’m not gonna waste my time here in this horrible site ever again! lolol!

      • @arirang15
Even a “mal-educated” person will have the decency to reply to the right person. Please don’t insult uninvolved third parties. What will your mother say!

      • @arirang15
The truth is being manipulated by SME and YunHo’s lie on TV, Poor ChangMin is too young to distinguish the difference between being used to make YunHo’s role appeared to look better than ChangMin, What a loss of ChangMin ‘s talent >.< poor poor ChangMin… 😦
YunHo even announced on TV and revealed that ChangMin is his ”new wife”. Wow! His lie was so obscence? We don’t welcome trolls for SME and Avex around here.

      • @arirang15
“but girl you’re worst than those mal-educated people! it only shows how desperate you are. don’t worry even if you reply i wont be able to read it coz i’m not gonna waste my time here in this horrible site ever again! lolol!”

Bye now! Hope your whole “going through life clueless” thing works out for you.

  12. @cat95

I don’t understand how Changmin doesn’t realize how he is being used. Seriously the majority of 2TVXQ fans are just Yunho fans. It is so pitiful just like them I guess.
And like you mentioned before SM and 2TVXQ don’t need us to make them look bad. They do that all on their own.
@arirang15 Believe it or not clown…You help them too.

    • @MIA2
“And like you mentioned before SM and 2TVXQ don’t need us to make them look bad. They do that all on their own. @arirang15 Believe it or not, clown…You help them too.”

lolol You’re so cruel. So right, but so cruel…

      🙂

    • I think Changmin knows he’s being used. It would explain why he sounds and looks so angry most of the time (even taking it out on Yunho during performances). He knows he’s a fool for staying with SME especially when he sees how successful JYJ have been without them (or that’s what it looks like). I feel bad for him because it seems he isn’t interested in being an entertainer anymore. If only those rumors of him going back to school and finishing his masters in the US was true. It’s a lot better than having a failed album (compared to other TVXQ albums) and having a failed drama. Yunho on the other hand seems oblivious to SME using him. He keeps on doing whatever they tell him to even if it might ruin his career ( I think it already did though). They tried to make him and promote him as an ambassador for the Hallyu wave but failed ( at least in my opinion). And yes Yunho has a lot of fans but Changmin gained a lot of new ones as well. Heck I’m more afraid of Changmin’s new fans than Yunho’s crazy Hotel girls (at least in some sites).

      • @Morningsunshine
“I think Changmin knows he’s being used. It would explain why he sounds and looks so angry most of the time ”

Well, You make many good and pertinent points, I think, ones that I have been having thoughts about myself. I started out really really mad at YH&CM for what they had done, for their behavior, but now I just feel terribly sad for them. They have been deplorably used.

Their career as the ersatz “TVXQ”, such as it ever was, is a travesty, a fraud and will not continue for long. Probably, Changmin can read the writing on the wall. I think probably he has some smarts. Yunho, all protestations to the contrary, I’m not so sure about. He seems to have something to prove, poor man. So he will go on blindly, although his talents and abilities put him firmly in last place of the original Five. Being merely “cute” has a definite shelf-life. There are always, always going to be the younger, cuter models coming up in the world of K-Pop Idol Land. Soon enough, Yunho will simply be…… older. And that, with his limited gifts, will be the death knell.

Having a few aging “hotel girl” fans is not going to do it for him, least of all with the accountant/assassins at SME. The SECOND the commercial entity that is YH or CM stops generating real money they are on the street. Keeping them in high-test videos and big budget cushy recordings is way too expensive to guarantee them anything like Loyalty, SME-wise. It’s really sad, what happened to them.

  13. @Lilibaiyu
I love you. You know that right?
That is exactly what I tell people and they never seem to understand. They think SM will forever be behind Yunho and Changmin simply because they are Yunho and Changmin. What a ludicrous thought.

That is what always gets me. They KNOW about SM’s hugely exploitive contract. This is what they did to their five most talented guys. The ones that brought them the most money. What makes them think they’ll now be treated any better? Because instead of dividing the leftovers by 5 it will now be 2? What fools!

I’ve entertained thoughts about Changmin in JYJ. Despite his frame he would fit in quite well, not that JYJ needs anyone else. They ARE excellent but if I had to choose between Changmin and Yunho I would pick Changmin, hands down. His attitude however…maybe he’d be cool for like a future collaboration with JYJ instead.

They think Yunho will forever be 25. He will always be the same. Nope ladies. Hate to break it to you but soon enough some 20 year old fox will show up and he will be put to the side. Because that is how the idol business works. SM isn’t going to protect him from that cruel reality just because he didn’t join JYJ. The only way he’ll truly make it is if he joins stable ventures. He needs to be in something that respects his hard work and talent. Not the crap that he has been doing lately. That ice skating thing? Seriously? And people think Changmin should be jealous? He has been spared.

That shit is for kid idols and newbies not the leader of one of Asia’s most influential music groups. Or was anyway. And he talks it off with his, “We are starting again” crap. No…JYJ are starting all over again. Literally and with cockblocking to overcome.
TVXQ has Korea’s biggest entertainment group behind them and yet they still finished all their activities early for the year. Instead of 2 albums per year they’ll have to release 3 or more to keep up with the old DBSK. That or they’ll repackage everything they release. Wouldn’t put it past them.

They seriously need to step it up if they think they’ll make a life-long career out of this.

    • @MIA2

Hi Mia, Thanks for your nice sentiments. 🙂 I probably arrived at my conclusions regarding YH&CM the same way you did, as a matter of fact. It seemed important to me to get all the information I could, read all I could and generally educate myself on what was really going on over there BEFORE I reached an opinion. What a concept, huh? 🙂

One thing that you said especially stood out to me: I quoted it above. This is why I have gone from being so outraged at YH&CM’s behavior over the last year to just feeling really awful for them. No, I do not believe SM will hang in there with them, protect them or do anything of the kind! My personal feeling is that they will use them for P.R. purposes until that tactic proves no longer useful to them. Then, it’s anybody’s guess what will happen to them. But continue dumping tons of money into propping up their careers for years to come? Not likely. SM is a soulless company. There’s no functioning conscience about what they do to people there and of course they have no shame or sense of decency either. YH&CM are now in a terrible situation of their own making.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens…

dear i’m sorry i’m not the same person with that girl and i never say something bad about this site and you JYJ fans, even some time i’m dissapointed with you jyj fans and even sometime i don’t like your statement but i just skip that, i never want to bother all of you, you have different opinion and view about this situation and you have freedom to speak and I respect that, so please do not equate me with that Fake OT5.

I have my bias to, i will support and fight with him but this is not mean i don’t support the other and will talking bad about them to defend my bias and when something bad happen with the other i don’t want to pretend just like i don’t know.
Next week we can see when charity concert in japan begin (we know homin and jyj concert in the same date right) that time there is no OT5 fans but just fans from their own bias also fans each side only and if i must choose JYJ or Homin, honestly i will choose my bias but that not mean i never support the other members, i will support the 5 of them and just like i respect their decision and respect their only fans too, so are this is make me one of FAKE OT5 fans too , if it so then i will give up with this.

JYJ and HoMin they have their own reason why they leave or stay and i respect that just like i respect you, you have your own resone to chooce JYJ side and i don’t want to bother you and i hope OT5 fans can respect that to, actually i don’t like when OT5 fans say you are not casssiopea if you don’t love the 5 of them, ok who are they can judge some like that and why must force them to love someone they don’t and this is why jyj or homin fans only never respect OT5 fans coz they are never respect too.
    p.s
i’m sorry if i bother you JYJ fans i like this site coz i want to know what JYJ fans thougt about this situation just like when i come to homin site but I just a silent reader i rarely posting my comment coz my english bad^^, i even need use google translator everytime if want to speak with you^^ and somehow i’m afraid you and i will misunderstood each other.

      Hello, there!

Thanks for getting in touch with us. If you are a frequent reader of JYJ3, then of course you should post.

The charity concert in Japan next week is wonderful, isn’t it? It doesn’t really matter who you support, as long as people come, enjoy themselves wherever they go, whoever they end up seeing and most importantly, support the quake victims. We are following JYJ here on this list, JYJ3, so we have been told that they can expect an overwhelming turn-out for their event. That’s great and we are so happy for them. 🙂

We also really don’t want to continue to debate the whole “JYJ-HoMin, Should They Have Stayed Or Not” debate. It’s over and done with at this point, JYJ has confidently moved on and have enjoyed many many successes as a threesome since then. We celebrate these successes and are excited to hear of new projects as well as new honors given to them on a daily basis. It’s a very exciting time to be fans of JYJ because there is seemingly no end to their excellent achievements, popularity and advancements.

Thanks for posting to our list. While we do not necessarily follow the careers of HoMin any more, it you are interested in the latest doings of JYJ, please continue to read our blog.

      Cheers!

      • Thank you i don’t want to talk about this again too^^,
some of people want to move on and some of people want to stay believe they will be reunion again and coz they have different reason this is make we criticize each other, this situation i think will never end and we will always have this conversation again maybe until this problem solved or until everyone can be respectful each other and accepted this situation but we will need more time right.
anyway i know JYJ have more enemy than homin that why i understand you are so protective with them and i really appreciate that and for this i want to say thank you with all of you JYJ fans^^.
every fandom always have immature fans right and this time we are in sensitive situation that why somehow we fight each other just because we misunderstood about what each other mean.
anyway, thank you i love talking with you, you are one of JYJ fans who can respect other opinion 🙂
        Fighting^__^

      • @tvxqact1
“some of people want to move on and some of people want to stay believe they will be reunion again and coz they have different reason this is make we criticize each other, this situation i think will never end”

Oh, I think it will end someday soon. Here’s why: sooner or later the fans of TVXQ5 who have not been able to let go of a dream of reunion will finally accept the situation that exists today.

That is: the members of JYJ CAN’T go back to become TVXQ again unless they re-sign with SM, a thing they will never do, no matter what. YH&CM are signed exclusively with SM. They can’t do anything without SM’s permission.

It should be pretty clear to all by now that SM doesn’t care about what the fans want, they care about what they want, which currently appears to be punishing JYJ every way they can think of for rebelling, wanting to re-negotiate their contract and likely establishing a very dangerous precedent for all the other idol groups at SM.

So it stands to reason that there won’t be any negotiations happening any time soon between SM and C-jeS, JYJ’s new management to work together again, especially if JYJ wins the lawsuit, which they seen poised to do at the moment.

      • @ Lilibaiyu
Someday this is will be end and i hope not in longer time, coz just like you JYJ fans i want to see them singing in TV too not just in fancam.
anyway everyone have different hope about the result this lawsuit but for me i just want they find their happines no matter what the result this lawsuit and if they are not happy i will fight again with them. Fighting^_^

      • and i’m not a good girl to^^, everyone sometime they make a mistake and i understand what you mean, no hard feeling here ^^

  15. Greate article. Keep posting such kind of information on your blog.
    Im really impressed by it.
Hi there, You’ve done an excellent job. I’ll certainly digg it and
in my view recommend to my friends. I am sure they’ll be
